Personal Project Draft 2

Human-Animal Overlay Draft 2:
For the second draft, I basically went in and edited all the pictures to make them cleaner, and more visible. For this project, I researched the artists and photographers Helmo. Helmo is the work of two men, what they are famous for is overlaying a portrait of a human with a portrait of an animal. The animal must share a similar posture, emotions, or appearance to the human subject.  Originally Helmo kept the humans blue while the animals were edited to be red, for my project I mixed and matched colors to put my own style into my Helmo inspired series of photos.

  1. Hey Jack, these photos are amazing. I love the colors in your photos. I do think the animal should be a little bigger than the person. Or the person is in the animal, their "inner animal" thing. Nonetheless these photos are awesome! Keep it up!

  4. Gee whiz Jack, these are incredible. I think these are a very good emulation of Helmo's work. The expressions from the people in these pictures works very well and I think you've done a good job picking an animal for them. Keep playing around with the editing, like contrast and brightness and stuff, and see what happens, you may encounter a new cool thing to enhance your images.

  7. Hi Jack, you made some very interesting photos this week. You seem not only to be overlaying animals with humans in the same shot, but also synchronizing the personalities they each give off based on the way they look when the photo is taken. Even though the compositions of the animals and humans are very different, their expressions give off a resonating vibe that ties the photos together.
